FOR A GOOD AND SAFETY WELDING
Connect the earth cable directly to the welding piece or to the
base, where it is on, paying attention to the point of contact, which
has to be without paint, grease or any other not-conductor mate-
rials.
Remove entirely the residues of the weld seam: a properly clean
surface allows to realize superimposed faultless seams.
Do not weld, when inflammable or explosive substances are pres-
ent in the room.
The welding accumulator with protection degree IP 21 cannot be
exposed to the rain neither for welding nor for storage.
Always use a protection mask with suitable glass filter for the
eyes: the retina can be seriously damaged by the ultraviolet rays
produced by the voltaic welding arc.
Always wear protective insulated gloves and work in aired rooms
to avoid as much as possible breathing welding fumes, which can
be noxious.
Remove the electrode from the electrode holder when you put it
down during the breaks, the presence of the electrode could acci-
dentally short-circuit the two welding poles (mass and electrode
holder).
Do not weld in the presence of persons, the welding arc produces
ultraviolet rays, which are noxious to the sight, more than the in-
candescent metal splinters, that can cause burns.

MAINS CONNECTION
For appliances supplied without a plug, you must fit a suitable plug
approved by the standards in force in your country.
Check that the mains voltage is the same as the operating voltag-
es given in table (U1).
If your welder has only supply voltage (or dual voltage with 3 –
pole cable) connect up as follows:
CAUTION: DO NOT USE ELECTRODES LARGER THAN 2.5
MM IN DIAMETER FOR WELDING WHEN THE SCHUKO
STANDARD PLUG IS FITTED. LARGER DIAMETER ELEC-
TRODES WILL CAUSE EXCESSIVE POWER ABSORPTION
ON THE SCHUKO PLUG AND THE POWER SOCKET.
