IV. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•
Clean your multicooker after each use.
•
Before cleaning please make sure the appliance is unplugged and has
cooled down. Use soft cloth and non-abrasive soap.
DO NOT use any abrasive detergents, sponges with hard or abrasive surface,
or chemically aggressive materials to clean the appliance. DO NOT immerse
in water. DO NOT wash under running water.
•
Before the first use or in order to remove odours, steam half a lemon
using the «STEAM – FISH» programme for default time.
•
Clean bowl and aluminium lid after each use. The bowl is safe for wash-
disher. After cleaning wipe the outer surface of the bowl dry.
•
We also recommend to clean the steam valve after each use. To clean
steam valve, remove and disassemble it carefully, then wash it accurately
in running water and dry. Assemble and install the steam valve.
•
When cooking, condensate may accumulate in the special cavity around
the bowl at the housing of the appliance. The condensate can be easily
removed with napkin or towel.
To remove the inner aluminium lid:
1. Open the main multicooker lid, on the inside of it press 2 plastic holders
toward the centre until the lid is removed. Wipe the surfaces of both lids
with wet cloth, wash the removable lid with soap if necessary.
2. After cleaning insert the aluminium lid into the lower grooves and match
it with the main lid. Press the upper part of the inner lid until it clicks to
place. The inner aluminium lid must be fixed tight.
To remove the steam valve, carefully pull the outer housing up, holding it on
the latch of the lid. Turn the valve, pull the plastic latch on the inside toward
the pointer and remove the outer housing. Wash both parts of the valve and
reassemble it in reverse order. To prevent the valve rubber from rupture, do not
bend or stretch it when cleaning and assembling
V. COOKING TIPS
Possible Causes for the Problems Arising and Ways of Solving
Them

Solving the Problem
We recommend using recipes adapted for the device.
Choose proven recipes only.
Set the time and cooking programme, choose in-
gredients, proportions, and their size according to
the recipe.
Use the amount of water recommended. If in doubt,
check the water level while steaming.
Frying ingredients add an amount of oil enough just
to cover the bottom of the bowl.
Follow recommendations given in the recipe while
deep frying.
Do not close the lid of the device while frying unless
specified in the recipe. Using frozen ingredients
defrost and drain before frying.
Certain products need to be processed before cook-
ing: washed, browned, etc. Follow recommendations
given in the recipe.
Use a smaller amount of dough.
Take the baked product out of the unit, turn it over
and place back. Bake until ready.
Next time use smaller amount of dough.
We recommend using the recipes adapted for your model. Choose
proven recipes only.
Set the time and cooking programme, choose ingredients, propor-
tions, and the size of ingredients according to the recipe.
We recommend using the "Keep Warm" function moderately. If
your device features the function of disabling the "Keep Warm" in
advance, use it to avoid the problem.
Depending on the quality of milk used, it may boil away. To avoid
this, we recommend using only ultra-pasteurized milk with the fat
content of 2.5% or less. Dilute milk with water if needed.
We recommend using the recipes adapted for the device. Try choos-
ing proven recipes only. Set the time and cooking mode, choose
ingredients, proportions, and the size of ingredients according to
the recipe.
Whole grains, meat, fish, and seafood need to be rinsed thor-
oughly before cooking.
Make sure that the bowl is clean and has no coat-
ing defects before cooking.

Certain REDMOND multicookers feature an overheat protection in "STEW" and

matically interrupts the programme and switches to Keep Warm mode.
