1. Loosen the blade fixing screws
(5) and remove the chain wheel
cover (6) (see small image).
2. Spread out the sawing chain (1)
in a loop in a way that the an-
gled cutting edges of the chain
links are aligned clockwise.
3. Place the sawing chain (1) into
the blade groove.
4. Turn the chain tensioner screw
(3) on the chain wheel cover
(6) in an anticlockwise direction
until the chain tensioner pin (30)
is located on the stop position.
5. To install, hold the blade (2)
tilted at an angle of approx.
45 degrees upward, and guide
the sawing chain (1) around the
chain wheel (31).
6. Place the blade (2) so that the
drill hole (28) in the blade (2) fits
the chain dowel pin (30)
7. Assemble the chain wheel cover
(6) with the blade attachment
screw (5).
8. Tighten the blade attachment
screw (5) with light hand force
only because the sawing chain
(1) must still be tightened.
Ensure that chain tensioning pin
(30) is positioned in hole (28) on
the blade (2). The pin must be
completely inserted into the hole.

Tensioning the saw chain

Turn off the appliance and, before
doing any servicing, remove the
battery.
The tension of saw chain (1) is important
both for your safety and for the function of
the cordless pruner. A correctly tensioned
saw chain will increase the lifetime of your
equipment.
Check the chain tension before
each use of the cordless pruner.
Saw chain (1) is correctly tensioned
if it can be pulled around blade 2 by
hand (wearing gloves) without sag-
ging.
When the saw chain is tensioned with
9 N (approx. 1 kg), the gap between
the saw chain and the guide rail may
not be more than 2 mm.
1. Hold the tip of the sword tight. To
tighten the saw turn the chain ten-
sioner screw (3) in the clockwise
direction. To loosen the tension turn
the chain tensioner screw in the anti-
clockwise direction.
2. Tighten the sword fastening screw (5).
The chain tension in new saw
chains (1) must be readjusted after
a short operating period.

Chain lubrication

Always switch off the device and
allow the motor to cool before
filling with chain oil. There is a
risk of fire if chain oil overflows.
Blade
(
(
1)
must always be oiled. Non-
observance of this will result in
increased wear on the blade and
saw chain.
A full tank will last for approx.
15 minutes of continuous opera-
tion. Check the oil level in good
time.
