INTRODUCTION:
Whirlpool baths must be installed by trained person-
nel able to demonstrate to the relevant authorities their
knowledge and ability in the application of health and
safety regulations i.e. electricity and water supplies and
waste water disposal. The manufacturer provides training
for technical assistance staff and therefore you are advi-
sed to contact an authorised technical assistance centre
for the purposes of installation.
This symbol indicates important product instruc-
tions or important safety information.
INSTALLATION:
IMPORTANT!
Before you start to assemble and install the product,
carefully read through all the instructions. Unpack the
components and check that nothing is missing and that
there are no damaged or faulty components, remove the
transparent protective fi lm.
All components requiring maintenance (e.g. pump, elec-
trical components, etc) must remain accessible once fi -
nal installation is complete.
Do not support the bath using the hoses during transport.
N.B.: This product is designed for installation on fi nished
walls and fl oors.
Warranty claims must be produced with the purchase in-
voice and the product assembling instructions.
The drawings and illustrations in this manual are provided
for information purposes only.
The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes
and improvements without prior notice.
INSTALLATION OF BATH WITH FRAME:
Follow the sequence of drawings given in this manual
very carefully when installing a bath with frame.
INSTALLATION OF ENCLOSED BATH:
Before building the enclosing walls, it is best to position
the bath and make the required connections. The wall
can extend inwards under the lip of the bath by not more
than 1.5 cm. The drain must be connected in such a way
that the bath can be pulled out of the enclosure for main-
tenance, when necessary. To facilitate this operation do
NOT fi x enclosed type baths to the fl oor. In this case, fi x
the bath by applying silicone on all four sides (see silico-
ning illustration on page 14-24-34).
Inspection panel required.
TRIMMINGS (optional):
On request, a set of easy to install trimmings to seal and
embellish the joint between the wall and the rim of the
bath can be provided (contact your Novellini dealer). The
strips can be adapted to any bath size. Trimmings come
in white and I.S. white.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:
With the CE mark and the declaration of conformity, the
manufacturer guarantees that the product complies with
current health and safety standards. All items and com-
ponents are factory tested according to reference stan-
dards and in-house quality procedures. To ensure that
the bath continues to be safe even after installation and
throughout its useful life, check the following:
1) The electrical system to which the bath is to be con-
nected must conform with current regulations and
standards. Remember that the system must be pro-
perly earthed.
2) All electrical fi ttings (power outlets, switches, etc)
must be at least 60 cm from the bath or at a height of
225 cm.
3) The power supply line must be suitable for the power
requirement of the bath (see technical specifi cations,
page 7-18-28).
4) The point where the bath is connected to the electrical
system must be suitably protected against splashing
water (degree of protection IP55 or greater).
5) The whirlpool system must be fi tted with a 30 mA
switched circuit breaker with a minimum contact ope-
ning of 3 mm.
6) The bath frame has an earth terminal that must be pro-
perly connected to the earthing system of the supply
circuit
, (refer to illustrations on page 3-4-5-6-15-16-
17-25-26-27).
OPERATING TEST:
An operating test must be performed following installa-
tion. Check that the bath is clean.
Fill the bath with water at an infeed temperature of 40 °C
(± 5 °C) up to a level above the highest nozzle to allow the
system to function.
Switch on the system and run it for 10 minutes. Switch
OFF the whirlpool function but do not empty the bath
and after 10 minutes check all the hoses, couplings, etc.
for any leaks.
The test should be repeated following any adjustments
or substitutions.
Backfl ow of water towards the mains water supply must
be avoided to ensure conformity with EN 1717 when fi l-
ling the bath. Therefore if the taps are fi tted so that the
water fi lls the bath from above the top of the bath then
the taps must be positioned (at least in terms of height) in
accordance with the diagrams shown from pages 3-4-5-
6-15-16-17-25-26-27.
If the system involving a combined water inlet and over-
fl ow outlet is used to fi ll the bath, a water outlet spout
consisting of a non-return valve (not supplied) must be
fi tted between the combined tap water inlet point and the
delivery system located on the discharge column.
USER MANUAL:
Turning on:
Press 5 for stand-by.
Whirlpool:
Press 2 to turn the whirlpool function on. The surround of
the button becomes blue. If there is not enough water in
the bath, the pump does not start up and the surround of
the button fl ashes. When the bath is fi lled correctly, the
pump starts up and the surround of the button becomes
blue. The level is monitored while the bath is in operation.
When button 1 is held down, the surround of button 2
becomes green and you can select the massage function
(air fl ow). When the required massage position is reached,
release button 1 to maintain that massage position. To
change it, hold button 1 down again.
When button 2 is pressed again, the surround becomes
yellow and the "Hydro Sequence" sequential massage
starts up:

Press button 2 again to turn the Whirlpool function off.
If not turned off, 30 minutes after being turned on it goes
off automatically.
Airpool:
When button 4 is pressed, the surround becomes blue
and the continuous Airpool function starts up.
If there is not enough water in the bath, the blower does
not start up and the button surround fl ashes. When the
bath is fi lled correctly, the blower starts up and the button
39
surround becomes blue.
The level is monitored while the bath is in operation.
When button 4 is pressed again, the surround becomes
green and the Airpool function operates in short pulses.
When button 4 is pressed a third time, the surround be-
comes yellow and the Airpool function operates in long
pulses.
Pressing button 4 a fourth time turns the Airpool function
off.
If not turned off, 30 minutes after being turned on it goes
off automatically.
Disinfection:
IMPORTANT: never get into the bath when it con-
tains disinfectant solution.
The fi rst time you disinfect the bath, fi ll the disinfectant
tank with a specifi c product or Dettol
Tank capacity: 1 litre.
The disinfection function can be activated with the bath
in stand-by.
After cleaning the bath with normal detergent, fi ll it as for
normal use.
Hold button 6 down until the surround of button 2 and
button 6 fl ash red alternately.
If there is not enough water in the bath, the surround of
button 2 fl ashes a neutral colour as described above for
the Whirlpool function (top up to the correct water level).
If button 6 is a steady red, this means the level of disin-
fectant in the tank must be topped up.
The disinfection cycle then starts. The pump starts up for
about four minutes then stops. After about 20 minutes,
button 6 and the surround of button 2 stop fl ashing. But-
ton 6 becomes a steady red indicating that the cycle has
ended and the bath must be emptied.
In case of necessity, press button 5 to interrupt the disin-
fection cycle. Button 6 will continue to fl ash in red until
the panel goes off to indicate that disinfection has not
been completed.
When emptied, the bath is ready for use.
Cromolight:
When button 3 is pressed, it lights up in red, green or
blue, activating a variable programme, and the spotlight
comes on.
Pressing button 3 a number of times obtains various pro-
grammes until the Cromolight is turned off.
At the end of the available programmes, button 3 fl ashes
to indicate the function is about to go off.
To stop the function, hold button 3 down for a few se-
conds.
Emptying the Airpool system:
After the bath has been emptied, to ensure hygiene, the
water remaining in the Airpool jets must be eliminated.
Baths with an Airpool function are therefore fi tted with a
manual/automatic drain system.
When an Airpool or Whirlpool jet function has been ac-
tivated, the system drains automatically. After the bath
has been emptied and about 30 minutes after the panel
goes off, the blower starts up for one minute to expel the
residual water.
If a jet function has not been used, the system must be
drained manually. After emptying and with the bath in
stand-by (panel backlit), press button 4 for a few secon-
ds until the blower starts up. After one minute it goes off
automatically.
To disable all active functions with a single command,
press button 5.
Pressing button 5 again turns the bath from stand-by to
off.
It shuts down automatically if not used for 30 minutes.
ADJUSTING JET NOZZLES and DRAIN:
Turn the jet nozzles (C) as required. The nozzles can be
turned in any direction. Make sure that the nozzles are
not clogged and are not directed upwards (otherwise
water will be splashed out of the tub when the system
is switched on). Fill the tub until the water is well over
the level of the jet nozzles (see illustration). After getting
into the bath, the water level must be as shown in the
illustration, otherwise the jets system may not start. The
system features a level sensor which prevents the jets
from switching on if there isn't enough water in the bath.
When the jets system is on, do not use foaming agents
such as bubble baths, soap, etc.
