Lifting points (Option)
Loads can be lifted attached to lifting points – fixed or adjustable –
on the turner bar, without laying PalTurn™ down. Accessories
(slings, hooks...) hung to these points with shackles have to be
removed for turning over.
These points loading constraints are identical to descriptions on
Figure and Figure page 21.
COMPULSORY REGULATORY CHECKS
Maintenance inspections and operations must be performed by skilled persons and specialists.
▪
First time use (or putting back in service) check with national regulations.
▪
Compulsory periodical check in compliance with the national regulations. Recommended every 12
months by TRACTEL SOLUTIONS SAS.
▪
A thorough examination paying particular attention to any alteration of parts due to an impact, corrosion,

TRACTEL SOLUTIONS SAS is at your disposal in order to conduct any regulatory check.
Before each use
Good condition of the straps is a guarantee for safety and functioning of the turnover system. It is essential
to verify constantly the good condition of the straps and to ensure good storage conditions.
Make a visual control of all components of the PalTurn™, and particularly check :
▪
the turning bar,
attachment ring,
▪
▪
pulley and indexing lever
Verify position and condition of strap buckles. And ensure that the remote control works properly, especially
the emergency stop
Annual checks
▪

order to detect any damage or potential problems that could cause dangerous situations.
Check if equipment does not have any deformation, fissures or other defaults.
▪
▪
If upper hooking ring has more than 10 % wear, it must be replaced.
▪
Check presence and legibility of signalling plate.
▪
Check if the state of the pulley's surface pulley allows a good adherence of the straps
▪
Remove the housing and check the tension of the chains
▪
Grease the chains when necessary
▪
Ensure that there is no spell of the bar on the bearings
▪
Check the state of the pulley's indexing lever
