3)
Never attempt to remove the nozzle, to dismantle the device or to eliminate a fault without observing the following
procedure:
-
Turn the safety lever of the spray gun to the locked position.
-
Turn off airless device
-
Release excess pressure in hose by activating the spray gun.
-
Open circulation valve
-
Before rinsing the system, always remove the nozzle and set the flow pressure at the airless device to the minimum.
-
Tighten all connections before each use. The maximum permissible operating pressure is 228 bar.
-
Ensure that the connected accessories such as hoses, couplings, swivel/pivot joints and adapters are designed
for the required operating pressure. If an accessory part with a permitted lower operating pressure must be used,
then this pressure value must not be exceeded throughout the entire system.
4)
WARNING:
The paint hose can become leaky through wear, kinking, abrasion or operating errors and the like. Because paint
will exit via a leaky point in the hose and the skin can be injected/penetrated, check every paint hose before use.
Defective hoses must be replaced immediately. Never seal off leaky points in hoses by provisional measures, such as
using adhesive tape or the like. Leaky and defective hoses cannot be repaired, and must therefore always be replaced.
5)
Only use hoses with spring-action kink protection.
6)
The minimum hose length is 15 m.
7)
Always connect a hose pressure gauge.
8)
To prevent fire or explosion through static discharge, ensure that the airless device is set up with correct earthing.
Devices with an electric motor must be connected to a power source with a protective conductor. Ensure that the
protective conductor conducts throughout as far as the device. With airless devices fitted with an internal combustion
engine, the device frame must have a conducting connection to the waxed floor.
9)
Never operate an airless device in humid conditions or in the rain.
Never store the device outside.
10)
Earthing:
-
With devices equipped with an electric drive, earthing ensues via the protective conductor in the connecting cable.
Therefore a socket installed according to regulations and with a protective conductor connection must be available.
-
In case of doubt, have the situation inspected by an electrician before making a connection.
-
With devices equipped with an internal combustion engine, the device must be set up on a waxed floor. If this is
not possible, an earthing cable must be laid from the device to an earthed connection point.
-
This can be a water main, a pipe projecting from the floor or a steel rod rammed into the ground.
Incorrect installation of the protective conductor can result in a discharge of static, and consequently electric shock.
-
If these earthing regulations require further clarification, or doubt exists as to correct earthing, enlist
the services of an electrician.
11)
Electrically powered airless devices must be equipped with a mains cable with protective conductor. The
plug welded on comes with a number of protective conductor contacts so as to enable the plug to be inserted
into a number of sockets in various countries. If it is not possible to connect the device correctly, then an electrician
must replace the socket with a suitable one. The use of adapters is not permitted.
