Storage at shutdown periods
Non-compliance with the storage
instructions may provoke starter
problems or permanent damage due
to fuel left in the carburettor.
1. Drain the fuel tank in a well-ventilated
place.
2. Start the engine and leave it idling until
the engine stops and the carburettor is
free from fuel.
3. Allow the engine to cool down (approx.
5 minutes).
Shutdown periods of more than 3
months:
4. Use a spark plug wrench to unscrew
the spark plug (see „Replacing / ad-
justing the spark plug").
5. Fill a teaspoon of undiluted two-stroke
oil into the combustion chamber and
slowly pull the starter cord several
times to allow the oil to spread inside
the engine.
6. Put the spark plug back in.
