TOP HUNG WINDOWS

To install a C130 actuator on top-hinged windows,
proceed as follows:
%
Open the package (para.3.6) and take all the parts
out;
%
Fig.9 – Mark the midline "X" on the window with a
pencil;
%
Fig.10 – Apply the template on the window frame
aligning it with the previously drawn centre line "X";
CAUTION: for non-coplanar window frames, it is
necessary to cut the template concerned part and
to apply it on the window frame paying attention to
keep it in the same reference position.
%
Fig. 11 – With a suitable drill, create on the window
frame holes having the related diameter, given on the
template;
%
Fig. 12 ÷ 14 – With the suitable screws tighten the two
brackets for the top-hinged assembly (AF Ø 4,8x16)
and the snap fasterner (AF Ø4,2x19);
%
Fig. 15 – Insert the two pairs of clamps for the top-
hinged applications, fitting them in the actuator slider
adjacent to the chain terminal, then close them
partially with the screw and nut in the package;
%
Fig.16 – Position the clamps symmetrically about
160mm on either side of the chain terminal midline and
tighten the screw all the way;
%
Fig.17 – Make the electrical connections as described
in para.5.6 and with reference to the wiring diagram
shown in Fig.46 for C130/230V, Fig.47 for C130/RR or
Fig.48 for C130/24V. Use the command to have the
chain run out by at least 50mm and disconnect the
power cord;
%
Fig.17 ÷ 18 – First fasten the chain terminal to the
snap fastener, then fasten the clamps to the brackets
for connection to the window;
@
Make sure the brackets for connection to the
window are correctly fastened to their clamps;
%
Connect the power cord again.
&
For correct adjustment of the window closure, see the
instructions in para.5.5.

%
Fig.22 – – Using a suitable drill, make on the window
frame holes of appropriate size as given on the
template;
-
Fig.23 ÷ 25 – Fasten the bottom hinged window
brackets to the frame using the screws type AF
Ø4,8x16 (Fig. 23) and fix the bottom hung bracket to
the window shown in Fig. 24, as described below;
If the window is installed flush or the overlap is less
than 5 mm, use the shim and the screws type AF
Ø4,2x19 (Fig. 24 – Ref. 1).
@
Before using the screws in the hardware package,
make sure they are suitable for the type of
window.
-
Fig. 26 – Close the two pairs of clamps for the bottom
hinged application partially with the screw and nut
provided in the package;
-
Fig. 26a – Fit the two pairs of clamps previously
assembled in the swivel bracket for the bottom hinged
application;
-
WARNING: do not damage the swivel bracket
when fitting the clamps.
Make sure the brackets for connection to the window
are correctly fastened to their clamps.
-
Fig.27 - Fit the actuator into the clamps using the
tracks on the actuator. Centre the end of the chain on
the bottom-hinged bracket, checking that it is centred
at a distance of 160mm from the clamps, then firmly
close the clamps;
-
Fig.28 – Make the electrical connections as described
in para.5.6 and with reference to the wiring diagram
shown in Fig.46 for C130/230V, Fig.47 for C130/RR
or Fig.48 for C130/24V. Use the command for have
the chain run out by at least 50mm and disconnect the
power cord;
-
Fig.29 – Fasten the chain terminal to the bottom
hinged window bracket (window) with the screw and
nut provided in in the package.
NOTE: tighten the nut up to the stop with the
bracket and over may damage the operation of the
actuator.
Connect the power cord again.
&
For correct adjustment of the window closure, see the
instructions in para.5.5.
