INTENDED USAGE

The actuator was designed and made exclusively to open
and close top hung and bottom hung windows using a
control device. Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of
the fitter and of the user at all times and the efficiency of
the actuator itself, it is absolutely forbidden to use it for
other purposes.
C h e c k c a r e f u l l y a l l e n v i r o n m e n t a l c o n d i t i o n s
(temperature, humidity, wind, snow, potential chemical
agents, etc.) and installation settings (misaligned fitting of
brackets and attachment to the frame, frictions produced
by hinges or gaskets, use of self-balancing window stays,
etc.) it is recommended that they not exceed the actuator
performances shown in the technical table. If they do,
please find an alternative and more suitable product for
your application.

SAFETY
4.1

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS

&
The operating personnel must be aware of accident
risks, safety devices for operators and general accident
prevention standards set out by international directives
and by current regulations in the country in which the
actuator is used. The behaviour of the operating
personnel must, in any case, comply strictly with current
accident prevention standards in the country in which the
actuator is being used.
&
During handling and installation of the parts, the
personnel shall be equipped with suitable personal
protection equipment (PPE) so as to perform the works
required under safe conditions.
&
Any tampering or non-authorized replacements of
parts or components of the actuator and the use of non-

PAKAGE

Every standard package of the product (cardboard
carton) contains (Fig.7):

Actuator complete with electric power cord (Ref.A);
%
Clamps for top-hinged or dome installation with
relative hardware (Ref.B);

Clamps for bottom-hinged assembly with the
relative hardware (Ref.C);
%
Bracket for windows with bottom-hinged opening
(Ref.D) with relative shim (Ref.D-1);
%
Brackets for fastening to the window for top hinged
assemblies (Ref.E-1/E-2);
%
Brackets for fastening to the window for bottom
hinged assemblies (Ref.E-5);
%
Bracket for fastening to the window for dome
assembly (Ref.E-4);

Package of hardware (Ref.F) consisting of: 2
screws type AF d4.2 x 19mm for fastening of the
snap fastener, 3 screws type AF d4.2 x 19mm for
fastening of the bottom-hinged window bracket
using the shim, 8 screws type AF TC d4.8x16 for
fastening of the brackets to the window;

Make sure the parts described above are in the
package and check that the actuator has not
undergone any damage during shipment. If
anything is wrong, do not install the actuator and
contact your retailer or the manufacturer to
request technical service.
The parts included in the package as described above,
especially the brackets and clamps, are related to the
configuration selected in the order.
original accessories or consumable materials can entail
accident risks and the manufacturer will be exempted
against any civil and criminal liability.

If the windows are accessible or installed at a ground
height lower than 2.5 meters and if they can be controlled
by personnel without any training or by means of a
remote control, the system must be equipped with an
emergency halting system that can intervene
automatically to prevent risk of crushing or dragging the
body fitted between the mobile part and the fixed part of
the window itself.
&
Ordinary and extra-ordinary maintenance operations
that require the disassembling of the actuator (even
partial), must be made only after interrupting the power of
the actuator itself.
