Important notes!
o Operating systems across property boundaries is possible with same meet-uppercalibrate.
o Do not open the components - live parts! Caution: Danger to life!
o The alarm switch and the switching sockets only switch off on one pole. Only open and ser
vice connected units according to instructions from the manufacturer. Caution: Danger to life!
o Only use the components in dry rooms.
o Do not plug the components in sockets with hinged lids or in adapters, use an extension lead
if necessary.
o Always remove the components from the main power supply before cleaning!
o Clean the components using a soft, dry cloth, or a cloth slightly dampened with a slight
amount of mild household cleaner.
Do not use solvents such as alcohol or petrol, as they attack the surface of the components.
o If liquid or solid objects reach the inside of a component, remove the component from the
main power supply, and have the component checked by an expert prior to further use.
5. OPERATING THE SYSTEM FOR THE FIRST TIME -INITIALISING-
5.1 Plug in the components (motion detector, switching socket[s], alarm switch, siren)
in the required position and press the button on each component until the yellow LED (motion
detector)
or green LED (switching socket, alarm switch, siren) begins to flash (not just illuminates)!
5.2 Plug in the control unit and press buttons 1 and 2 simultaneously until all LED's on
the unit are flashing.
If a parallel control unit is assigned, press buttons 3 and 4 simultaneously on the unit
until the upper yellow LED (motion detector) and the green LED (switching socket) are
flashing.
The STECOM-Alarm-System completes the rest of the procedure, this takes
approx. 15 minutes.
All LED's on the control unit will initially extinguish. Only the red LED "active" and the
green LED "automatic switching device" continue to flash. If the lamps should not flash
with stop (> 15 min.), it should be clarified whether all components at the same net are.
A separation by re-clamping transformer interrupts communication.
According to the number of system components, the yellow and green LED's on the
control unit illuminate one after the other.
The system is ready for operation 1 minute after the red "active" and the
green "automatic switching device" LED's stop flashing.
5.3 Check the control unit to see if a yellow LED for each motion detector
(max. 4) is lit, and if a green LED for each switching socket or alarm switch
(max. 4) is lit. If a siren or a parallel control unit is connected,
the green "siren" LED on the main control unit should also be lit.
Note:
o All settings are now stored in the components without the use of batteries or any
other form of electronics. You can therefore plug and unplug the components
as you please after initial operation, without clearing any settings.
o By pressing the buttons 1 and "automatic switching device" simultaneously until
a control tone sounds, you can shorten the time needed for initial operation.
Please check that components, where the control LED no longer flashes and is
constantly lit, are correctly logged on.
You must repeat this procedure in the following cases:
o When the system is extended by including further components.
o When another zone is to be safeguarded
(e.g. when moving house).
