Gas pre-flow (MIG/MAG)
Gas pre-flow ensures that the arc is
fully protected from atmosphere before an arc is
established. Gas pre-flow time is the time from
activating the torch trigger until the wire feed starts.
The gas pre-flow time can be set between 0.0 sec. and
10.0 sec.
Soft-start (MIG/MAG)
Soft start improves the ignition
characteristics. Here speed with which the wire shall
start is set.
The speed is set between 0.5-24.0 m/min. The soft start
function is disengaged at setting 0.0 m/min.
MIG/MAG-hotstart (synergic MIG)
MIG/MAG-hotstart is a function that helps to
create the right temperature in the weld pool at the
beginning of a weld.
In 4-times the welding starts with an increased start
amp. This start amp remains there until the torch
trigger is released again. Subsequently, the current will
decrease in ½ sec. to the adjusted value.
In 2-times the hot start cannot be controlled by the
torch trigger and is therefore defined in time in
F34 (hotstart time). The start amp is increased by a
percentage of the welding current. It can be adjusted
between -99 % and 99 %.
In manual MIG/MAG it is not possible to adjust a
MIG/MAG hot start by means of F33 and F34.
Instead two sequences are selected with set spot
welding time in sequence 1. Wire feed speed and
voltage in the hot start period for sequence 1 are
selected, so the current is biggest here.
Hot-start time (synergic MIG)
Hotstart time determines the time in which
welding in hot-start in MIG/MAG two-times takes
place. The time can be set between 0.0 and 20.0 sec.
Slope-down (synergic MIG)
The time of the current slope-down is set. By
activating the trigger, the slope down begins in order
to make a crater filling. The current reduces from the
adjusted current to stop amp.
In 4-times the welding after current slope-down can be
extended by triggering the torch trigger continuously.
Slope down can be adjusted between 0 and 10 sec.
Stop amp (synergic MIG)
Stop amp is adjustable between 0-100% of
the set welding current.
Burn back (MIG/MAG)
The burn back function prevents the welding
wire sticking to the workpiece at the end of a weld.
Burn back can be adjusted between 0 and 30.
Gas post-flow (MIG/MAG)
Gas post-flow time ensures protection of the
molten pool after welding and cools off the torch.
The gas post-flow time is the time from which the arc
extinguishes to the gas flow being disconnected.
The time can be set between 0.0 and 20.0 sec.
Spot time (MIG/MAG)
When the spot time function is active,
welding will stop automatically after expiry of the set
spot time. It is possible to stop welding before the
spot time expires by pressing the torch trigger.
If the spot time is altered during welding, the
alteration has no effect till next welding. The spot
time is adjustable between 0.0 and 50.0 seconds. The
value 0.0 means that the function is disconnected.
If sequence is activated, spot time has a different
function; it is now related to each single sequence.
When the spot time expires, the machine will
automatically switch from one sequence to the next.
After the last sequence, the machine will automatically
switch to the first sequence.
Stop-amp-time (synergic MIG)
Stop-amp-time decides the time in which
the stop-amp value is used for welding. The time is
adjustable between 0 and 10 seconds.
Duo PLUS
parameters
TM
If the
-key is activated, the following
DUO Plus
parameters will be adjustable:
TM
DUO Plus
effect trim %
TM
Effect trim is adjustable in % of the set
welding current, i.e. a value of 60% gives a base
current of 60A, if the set welding current is 100A.
DUO Plus
time s
TM
The time for the set effect trim is adjustable
between 0.1 and 9.9 seconds.
Machine settings at panel lock
Reduction of the adjustable range
for voltage trim (synergic MIG/MAG)
The adjustable range for voltage trim (± 9.9V) can be
reduced by 0-50% in lock level 2.
Reduction of the adjustable range for current
(synergic MIG/MAG)
The adjustable range for current can be reduced to
0-25% of the set current in lock level 2.
Recall of factory settings
Factory settings can be reloaded for the actual welding
program. When the actual program is displayed, the
4-timers
-key pad must be kept pressed until the
program list disappears.
