Handling equipment to be used only when handling
the machine.
The machine has been designed for DIY to cross
cut fi re wood.
Cutting logs with diameter of more than 170 mm
(depending on the model) is not allowed as such
workpieces would not be safe to hold.
The minimum diameter is 80 mm (pieces of wood
with a smaller diameter cannot be caught to barbs
and may slip off the cradle).
The maximum length of the material cut is 1,000
mm and the minimum length of the material cut is
500 mm.
As there is no exhauster, the circular saw for fi re
wood may only be used outdoors.
Only such workpieces that can be safely laid and
held in the cradle may be processed.
Using HSS saw blades is not allowed as such steel is
hard and fragile.
Risk of injury as a result of saw blade breaking and
saw blade pieces being thrown away.
The use in accordance with the designation also
includes the satisfaction of manufacturer-specifi ed
conditions for operation, maintenance and repairs
and following safety instructions included in the
manual.
It is necessary to follow the safety regulations
applicable for operation and other generally recog-
nised occupational therapy and safety technique
regulations. Any other use is considered a use in
confl ict with the designation. The manufacturer will
not be held liable for any consequential damage of
any type: the risk will be borne by the user.
Optional changes to the saw exclude the liability
of the manufacturer for consequential damage of
any type.
The saw may only be made ready, used and
maintained by persons familiarised with such acts
and instructed in possible risks. Repairs may only be
executed by us or by customer services specifi ed by
us. The machine must not be used in an explosion-
risk environment and must not be exposed to rain.
Metal parts (nails, etc.) must necessarily be removed
from the material cut.
• The appliance meets EN 61000-3-11 require-
ments and is subject to special connection
conditions. That means that use on optionally
selected connection points is inadmissible.
• The appliance can lead to occasional voltage
fl uctuations under unfavourable power
conditions.
• The appliance is only designated to be used for
connection points not exceeding the maximum
allowed impedance of Zmax = 0,233 Ω.
• As a user, you must make sure your connection
point on which you want to use the appliance
meets the above-mentioned requirements –
after agreement with your electricity supplier if
necessary.
Safe removal of possible blocking
Unplug the machine.
Check it and localise the blocking.
Remove the blocking while considering all safety
instructions.
Check the machine visually and make sure it is not
damaged. In particular, the saw blade must not show
any sign of damage.
Contact the Technical Assistance (see Servicing) if
there is any doubt regarding the blocking removal or
full operability.
Maintenance
Treatment, maintenance and cleaning may only be
performed when the drive is off and the machine idle.
The drive must necessarily be turned off when the
machine is not working properly.
• Check all screw and plug-in connections and pro-
tective equipment if fi rm and tightened properly
and whether all moving parts are running smooth
whenever the appliance is to be put into operation.
• Prior to every use, visually check the machine to
rule out any defects, in particular on the power
cable and the plug.
• Before pressing On/Off , make sure the saw blade
has been fi tted properly.
At all times, keep the machine, ventilation slots, in
particular, clean. The sawdust ejection and/or dust ex-
hauster should be cleaned at regular intervals. Never
spray water on the machine!
All moving parts should be treated with environmen-
tal-friendly oil. Never use any grease!
Check the wear of the saw blade. Blunt saw blades
must be sharpened. Clean saw blades covered with
resin.
The ball bearings of the saw shaft are protected
against dust and are therefore service-free, i.e. the
bearings need not be lubricated.
Repairs and works specifi ed in these Instructions may
only be performed by qualifi ed authorised staff .
Use only original accessories and original spare parts.
Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance
can serve as a satisfactory aid. Insuffi cient mainte-
nance and care can lead to unforeseen accidents and
injuries.
