4.4 Instructions for the electrical connection

As a reminder, electrical installation and wiring for this equipment must
comply with applicable local installation standards; see § 4.1.
Verify that the voltage of the socket aligns with the power required by
the product.
The heat pump must be plugged in to a dedicated grounded socket.
The electrical circuit must be protected by a dedicated minimum 16A
breaker and by a ground with a minimum IPX4 protection rating.
If no electrical socket is available, have a qualified electrician install a
grounded electrical socket for outdoor usage.
The power cable provided must not be buried.
Place and protect the power cable so that it will not be accidentally
damaged by sharp objects (lawnmower blade, pruning shears, lawn
scarifier, animal bite, crushing, etc.).
The electrical socket and the device's plug must remain visible and
easily accessible.
Do not use an extension cord.
Never power on or start the heat pump if the power cable is damaged;
doing so may result in electric shock.
If the power cable is damaged, it absolutely must be replaced by an
OEM part and changed out by the manufacturer, by its after-sales
service, or by a qualified electrician.
Never expose the heat pump to water or a wet environment. This may
result in electrocution. Be very careful.
