Directions for use:

Maximum allowable number of users: 2 persons in the whole system; 1 person
•
per guided type fall arrester.
Maximum allowable nominal load: 100 kg (weight of the user including equipment
•
and clothing)
Allowable guided type fall arrester: Type VST (CE 0082), tested to EN 353-1
•
produced by the manufacturer: Technelec
ATTENTION: Only this guided type fall arrester may be used in the
®
LUX-top FSA 2010 – V
Ensure that the guided type fall arrester is inserted in the rail in the correct direction.
•
The arrow engraved in the top of the guided type fall arrester and the green
marking must point upwards!
The user must visually inspect the guided type fall arrester before each use to ensure
•
its proper functional and maintained condition.
If the ladder is climbed by two users at the same time, a minimum distance of at least
•
3 m should be maintained between the feet of the top person and the head of the
lower person.
In the first two metres the user could not be protected against hitting the ground or
•
floor. The arrest distance (braking distance of the guided fall type arrester and
displacement of the full body harness on the body) must be taken into account.
Particular caution is required on climbing onto and off the ladder!
Activation of the release function of the guided type fall arrester or handling it while
•
climbing up or down the ladder can obstruct safe and reliable function of the braking
mechanism.
Activation of the release function of the guided type fall arrester or otherwise handling
•
of the arrester while climbing up or down the ladder is only to be carried out from a
secure position from which there is no risk of falling.
The guided type fall arrester may NOT be used for work positioning. If work
•
positioning is required a separate system must be used for this purpose!

temperatures below +1°C and/or if the rigid anchor line (aluminium rail) is iced up!
The horizontal distance A, measured between the front of the rigid anchor line and the
•
load bearing point of the connector (spring hook) at the full body harness, is approx.
150 mm for the type VST guided type fall arrester. This is the case for the supplied
combination of the guided type fall arrester type VST with the corresponding
connector.
