Suitable cookware
Select the element with the diameter that most closely
matches that of the base of the cookware and place the
cookware in the center of this element.
The cooking sensor function is not suited for frying in a
pan, as is possible with the frying sensor function.
There are frying pans that are optimally suited for the
frying sensor function. They can be purchased from
specialist retailers or through our technical Customer
Service. Always specify the relevant reference number:
▯

small piece of cookware
(6"/15 cm diameter)
▯
GP900002

Notes
‒
The frying sensor function has been configured
specifically for this type and size of pan.
‒
Using a pan of a different size or one that is poorly
positioned on the flexible cooking zones may result
in the frying sensor function not being activated.
See section ~ "Flex function"
‒
Other types of pan may overheat and reach a
temperature above or below the selected heat
setting. Try the lowest heat setting to begin with
and change it if necessary.
Temperature settings Cookware
195-212° F
(90-100 °C)
230-250° F

Any cookware that can be used for induction cooking is
suited for the cooking sensor function. You can find
information on which types of cookware can be used
with an induction cooktop in section "Cooking with
induction".
The table on types of automatic functions lists the
suitable cookware for each of the automatic functions.
Sensors and special accessories
The sensors measure the temperature of the pot or
frying pan throughout the entire cooking process. As a
result, the power will be regulated with high accuracy
and kept at the right temperature:
Your cooktop has two different systems for temperature
measurement:
▯
Frying sensor function: there are temperature
sensors under the cooktop. Check the temperature
of the frying pan bottom.
▯
Cooking sensor function: a wireless temperature
sensor passes the temperature of the saucepan on
to the control panel. The sensor is attached to the
saucepan.
A wireless temperature sensor is required for the
cooking sensor function. You can purchase these from
special retailers or our technical after-sales service,
quoting the reference number
For information about the wireless temperature sensor,
see section ~ "Preparation and maintenance of
the wireless temperature sensor"
