7.6.4 Configuring controllers: Master/Slave
After connecting the controllers, each controller must be set up with its own address, so that it
can work correctly in partnership.
The first controller must always be assigned the address 1. The 1 establishes that this controller is
the Master controller.
Each additional controller must be assigned an address between 2 and 8, with no address being
assigned twice. We therefore recommend that you allocate addresses in ascending order (the se-
cond controller will be assigned address 2, the third controller address 3 etc.).
Example: You want to allocate addresses to three interconnected controllers.
7.6.5 Set up first controller (Master)

Ensure that the hand switch is plugged into the socket of the first controller.
•
Press the F key until "P---" or "ParA" appears in the display. If "P---" appears in the display,
continue with step 3. If "ParA" appears in the display, use the hand switch keypad to enter
the access code 13121. The display changes to "P---".

Use the hand switch keypad to enter the code 113.
•
Use the UP and DOWN
•
Press the F key to quit setup.
•
Press the F key again until "P---" appears in the display.
•
Use the hand switch keypad to enter the code 123.
•
Set the number of slaves in the bus system using the up / down keys. In this example, the para-
meter must be set to "2".
•
Then press the F key to store the setting.
7.6.6 Set up second controller (Slave 1)
•
Plug the hand switch into the socket of the second controller.
•
Now enter the access code 13121 again, followed by the code 113.
•
Set the value "2".
•
Press the F key to quit setup.
7.6.7 Set up third controller (Slave 2)
•
Plug the hand switch into the socket of the third controller.
•
Now enter the access code 13121 again, followed by the code 113.
•
Set the value "3".
•
Press the F key to quit setup.
•
Plug the hand switch into the Master lifting column and execute the initialisation run (see sec-
tion 7.5.2).
