4.2 Transport with a crane

Observe the following safety instructions if the components of the filter unit are transported
with a crane:
DANGER
Potentially fatal crushing injuries while lifting and transporting the
components of the filter unit!
Incorrect lifting and transport can cause the components of the filter unit
to tilt and fall over!
The components of the filter unit may be lifted and transported only with
a suitable sling!
● Only use slings that are in a technically perfect condition!
● In every case, the components of the filter unit must be slung at all
ring bolts or fastening points.
● Never stand under suspended loads!
● Observe the relevant accident prevention and health and safety at
work regulations!
● Obey the carrier's instructions and regulations!
● Check that the sling is fixed firmly at the sling points and on the hook
of the crane.
● Secure the transport cables to the crane hook in such a way that
these when pulled taut cannot come into contact with parts of the
machine above the sling points.
● Use loading gear if need be.
● Match the lengths of the cables so that the components of the filter
unit hang horizontally. Suspend the cables with shackles at all ring
bolts/crane eyeletsso that the angle of the cables to the vertical is not
greater than 30° and the ring bolts/crane eyelets are not stressed
laterally. The ring bolts/crane eyelets must not be distorted and
should not be marked subsequently in color (in particular in red)
owing to the risk of confusion.
● When choosing shackles, it is essential that each individual
shackle has an adequate load capacity!
