11. Assembly
The GROOVER 500-LP can be operated with a vacuum cleaner as an
alternative to the dust bag (3). For this, you need to attach the vacuum
cleaner adapter (25) (included in the scope of delivery) to the ejector
tube (7) instead of attaching the dust bag holder (24). When doing this,
make sure you connect the side of the vacuum cleaner adapter (25)
that has the grooved outer contour to the ejector tube (7).
ATTENTION
When operating the unit with a vacuum cleaner, you must
ensure that the suction power is sufficient.
12. Maintenance
WARNING
• Always remove the battery (1) before carrying out any maintenance work on the grooving machine.
• The sharp cutting edges can cause injuries. Therefore, it is absolutely essential to wear protective
gloves.
12.1 GROOVER 500-LP
• Do not use water or liquid cleaning agents.
• Always use dry compressed air to blow out the inside of the housing containing the spindle.
• Clean the outside of the unit – particularly the adjusting device and all rollers – to maintain the accuracy of the
cut groove.
• Spray the pivots occasionally with machine oil.
• Regularly clean the ventilation slots in the cover plate.
12.2 Cutter blade
Care
• Protect the cutter blade from moisture to avoid corrosion.
• Cleaning agents can harm the skin or eyes and damage the tool. Wear protective gloves and eye protection
during cleaning.
• Only use suitable cleaning agents. It is essential to follow the instructions provided by the cleaning agent
manufacturer.
Intended use
• The GROOVER 500-LP grooving machine is only to be used with the type of feed and operated at the speed
marked on the tool body.

12.3 Charger and battery
WARNING
Disconnect the power plug from the power outlet before carrying out any maintenance work on the
charger.
Do not use water or liquid cleaning agents.
• Use a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt from the housing.
