7.3 Turn-on – Grooving – Turn-off
DANGER OF INJURY
Keep your hands away from the cutting area and the cutter blade. Hold the unit with both hands. If you
hold the grooving machine with both hands, there is no risk of injuring them on the cutter blade. Stay
clear of the area in front of and behind the rotating cutter blade. The unit is only intended to operate
with the cover plate (21) securely fastened.
WARNING
RISK OF INJURY due to flying particles.
• The GROOVER 500-LP is only to be operated with the ejector tube (7) fitted along with a dust bag (3)
or with a vacuum cleaner adapter (25) plus connected vacuum cleaner.
• Wear eye protection.
• Never reach into the chip ejector.
• For safety reasons, the main switch (5) is not locked and you have to keep it pressed during the
grooving operation. Only turn on the GROOVER 500-LP once it has been aligned in the idle position.
Before you begin to operate the grooving machine, position the guide roller (9) and rear guide roller (20)
correctly in the direction of the groove. Do not move the unit out of position while it is stationary on the floor, as
the guide roller (9) and rear guide roller (20) will scratch the floor covering.

You can check the battery level by pressing the button
and looking at the LED lights on the battery indicator.
The indicator goes off after five seconds. If any of the
LED lights are flashing, it means that the battery needs
charging. If the LED lights are not illuminated when you
press the button, it means that the battery is defective
and has to be replaced.
