7.6 Charger and battery

Observe the general power tool safety warnings – Battery tool use and care in Chapter 1 [4].
The GROOVER 500-LP is intended for use only with the LP 18.0V/5.0Ah battery and the LPC 18.0V
charger.
Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a charger will increase the risk
of electric shock.
The unit is only suitable for indoor use (inside rooms).

7.7 How to ensure a long battery life and store batteries correctly
ATTENTION
• Never charge batteries at temperatures below 5°C or above 40°C.
• Do not charge batteries in environments with high levels of humidity or high ambient temperatures.
• Do not cover the batteries or charger during the charging operation.
• Unplug the charger from the power outlet once charging has commenced.
• The battery should only be stored in a dry and dust-free area (max. 40°C). If batteries are not going
to be used for some time, they should be stored somewhere cool in a partially charged state.
The battery and charger heat up during charging. This is normal. Li-ion batteries do not suffer from the memory
effect. Nevertheless, a battery should be completely discharged before charging and the charging process should
always be fully completed.
