4. Transport

Comply with applicable national regulations regarding the carrying or lifting of loads.
The weight of your GROOVER 500-LP including the transport box is 23.27 lbs. (12.12 lbs. including the
battery).
Only use the carrying case included in the scope of delivery (see 5.2 Scope of delivery [9]) and the
carrying case's handle to transport the grooving machine.
Never use the handle (4) on the unit or on the carrying case to transport it with a crane.
CAUTION
Always check that the grooving machine has been turned off before transporting it. The main switch
(5) must not be pressed.
The spare battery must always be stored inside the transport box with the terminals pointing down. In
general, any batteries that are not currently in use should be stored inside the carrying case. When
battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to
another. Do not ship/transport defective batteries. Shorting the battery terminals together may
cause burns or a fire.
Always transport the unit inside suitable packaging. Otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the cutting
edges.
CAUTION
RISK OF INJURY Do not press the main switch when removing the unit from the case. Please also
avoid reaching into the cutting area
with your hands and
do not touch the cutter blade or cutting edges of the guide roller (9)/rear guide roller (20) when
removing the unit.
To lift the grooving machine by hand, use the handle
(4). Before placing the grooving machine inside the
carrying case, you must first detach the ejector tube
(7) plus dust bag (3).
