When using a cable with a filler cord, you can also connect this to pin 1 on the bus plug
(X7D1/X7D2).
1. Set up the correct pin assignments (see Table 6 on page 81) on the electrical connections if you
do not use pre-assembled cables.
2. Connect the incoming bus connection to the X7D2 fieldbus input (5).
3. Connect the outgoing bus cable with the next module using the X7D1 fieldbus output (6).
4. Ensure that the plug housing is securely fitted to the bus coupler housing.

The units are permitted to be supplied by the following voltages only:
–
24 V DC SELV or PELV circuits, whereby each of the 24 V DC supply circuits must
be provided with a DC-rated fuse which is capable of opening at a current of 6.67 A
in 120 seconds or less, or
–
24 V DC circuits which fulfill the requirements of limited-energy circuits according
to clause 9.4 of standard UL 61010-1, 3rd edition, or
–
24 V DC circuits which fulfill the requirements of limited power sources according
to clause 2.5 of standard UL 60950-1, 2nd edition, or
–
24 V DC circuits which fulfill the requirements of NEC Class II according to standard
UL 1310.
Make sure that the power supply of the power pack is always less than 300 V AC
(outer conductor – neutral wire).
The bus coupler and valve driver are provided with power via the X1S plug (7). The X1S power supply
connection (7) is an M12 plug, male, 4-pin, A-coded.
See Table 7 for the pin assignments of the power supply. The view shown displays the device
connections.

The voltage tolerance for the electronic components is 24 V DC ±25%.
The voltage tolerance for the actuator voltage is 24 V DC ±10%.
The UL and UA power supplies are equipped with internal electrical isolation.
