4.7 DIFFERENTIAL LOCK
Mod.45SN-45A
The tractor is equipped with a hydraulic differential lock on both axles.
Mod.26RS-30RS-45RS-30SN-40SN-30A-40A-45R
The tractor is equipped with a mechanical differential lock on both axles.
This allows the performances of the machine to be used to the full.
Front differential:
For Mod.26RS-30RS:
Locking: push lever N° 21 fig.1.
Unlocking: pull the lever forwards.
For Mod.45RS-45R-30SN-40NS-30A-40A:
Locking: raise lever N° 21 fig.1.
Unlocking: lower the lever.
Rear differential:
Locking: pull lever N° 7 fig.1.
Unlocking: automatic when the lever is released.
The lock must only be used if required: if one of the two wheels slips.
In ploughing jobs, the tractor exercises greater weight on the wheels in the
furrow. To increase the grip, it is advisable to use the front differential lock. Front
locking can only be engaged after the furrow has been begun and must be
unlocked before the end of it.
To get the most out of the device, engage the differential lock before the wheels
begin to slip. Do not engage the lock while one wheel is already slipping.
When the differential lock is engaged, the tractor cannot be steered!
Only use the differential lock with low gears after having reduced
the engine rate. Do not use the diff lock near or round bends. If the diff
lock fails to disengage, reduce the engine rate, stop the tractor and
disengage the differential by moving the steering wheel.
