6. COMMISSIONING
Before commissioning, check that the tank and
ATTENTION !
the system are free of any materials/waste likely to
hinder the pump's operation.
- Commissioning should be left to SALMSON's ASS team.
- Follow the instructions given in the pump and control unit installa-
tion and commissioning manuals.
- Before switching on the pump, open the valve located in the
discharge duct.
- Check that the pumps and ducts have been fitted in a secure and
leaktight way.
- Connect to the mains supply.
- In the case of a pump with a three-phase motor, check the pump's
direction of rotation (Also see the pump manual).
- Check the level settings.
- Check that the mains supply's intensity and voltage are in line with
the indications on the nameplate.
- Check that the system is operating correctly and switch it on.
7. SERVICING
7.1 Frequency
To guarantee that the system is as reliable as possible and to reduce
its operating costs to the maximum, the system should be checked
by a specialist as often as defined in standard EN12056-4.
- Quarterly for stations installed on commercial sites.
- Half-yearly for stations used in collective buildings.
- Yearly for stations used in single-family houses.
7.2 Works
During servicing, the following works must be performed :
- Check the tightness of the connection points by inspecting the
area surrounding the station and the valves and fittings.
- Activate the valves; check that they are operating smoothly and
are leaktight.
- Open and clean the check device; check the positioning of the
ball; check that the device is operating correctly.
- Clean the pumping device and the ducts directly connected to it.
- Clean the inside of the tank.
- Visually check the electrical system.
- Visually check the tank's condition.

8. FAULTS, CAUSES AND REMEDIES

- See the pump and control unit installation and commissioning
manuals (See Table 2).
If it is not possible to correct the fault, an approved fitter or Salmson's
ASS team should be contacted.
