and insert it into the proper guide.
Carefully insert the rod with the male in the compartment of the glow
plug and screw the threaded guide.
Start the manual tapping operation for the extraction using a ratchet
wrench (fig. 9).
After the tapping operation, disassemble the tools and clean the
glow plug compartment with compressed air to remove dirt and/
or debris.
EXTRACTION (fig. 10, 11, 12)
Take the suitable extraction rod
• 1952 003 302 - Extraction rod M4 with nut mounted (for
M10x1 and M10x1.25)
• 1952 003 301 - Extraction rod M3 with nut mounted (for
M9x1 and M8x1)
• 1952 003 303 - Extraction rod M4 with nut mounted (for
M8x1 - special application)
and insert it inside the striking hammer and the proper guide.
After screwing the threaded guide, start the manual extraction
operation of the electrode terminal part of the glow plug operating
on the striking hammer.
BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW GLOW PLUG
• Clean the inside of the seat with an iron brush or similar tool.
Before installing the new glow plug, make sure that all chips, dirt
and debris are removed from the seat and from the spark plug
thread.
For this operation, we recommend the use of the
kit 1952 003 350.
• If the threads of the glow plug seat on the head were damaged,
we recommend using the complete thread repair kit that includes
the threaded inserts to allow an effective repair.
NEW GLOW PLUG INSERTION (fig. 13, 14)
Proceed with the insertion of the new glow plug.
