Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions
and service manuals to perform the steps in the
correct order. This kit should be used only by
qualified personnel.
FIRST PREPARATION
It is advisable to prepare in such a way that the glow plug is easily
accessible.
The engine must be cold.
PROCEDURE
DRILLING (fig. 4, 5, 6, 7)
Take the rod with the suitable drill bit
• 1952 003 314 - Bit Ø 3.2 with extension installed
(for M10x1 and M10x1.25)
• 1952 003 312 - Bit Ø 2.5 with extension installed
(for M9x1 and M8x1)
• 1952 003 313 - Bit Ø 3.2 with extension installed
(for M8x1 - special application)
and insert it into the proper guide
• 1952 003 307 - Guide for glow plug M10x1
• 1952 003 306 - Guide for glow plug M10x1.25
• 1952 003 304 - Guide for glow plug M9x1
• 1952 003 305 - Guide for glow plug M8x1
Carefully insert the rod with the drill bit in the glow plug
compartment and screw the threaded guide.
Start the drilling operation using an electric/pneumatic drill acting
with a slight pressure (fig. 6).
After the drilling operation, disassemble the tools and clean the
glow plug compartment with compressed air to remove dirt and/or
debris (fig. 7).
TAPPING (fig. 8, 9)
Take the rod with the suitable tap
• 1952 003 309 - Male M4 with extension installed
(for M10x1 and M10x1.25)
• 1952 003 308 - Male M3 with extension installed
(for M9x1 and M8x1)
• 1952 003 310 - Male M4 with extension installed
(for M8x1- special application)
