Maintaining the blade

The blade must be turned over every
8 – 10 working hours in order to guarantee
even wear (for this, see the "Initial operati-
on" chapter).
1. Switch off the equipment and discon-
nect from the mains.
2. Take off the chain wheel cover (6), saw
chain (1) and blade (2) (see picture).
3. Check the blade (2) for wear. Remove
burrs and straighten the guide surfaces
with a flat file.
4. Clean the oil channels (31, 32)
in order to guarantee fault-free,
automatic oiling of the saw chain
during operation.
5. Assemble the blade, saw chain and
chain wheel cover and retension the
saw chain (see the "Assembly" chap-
ter).
When the oil channels are in op-
timum condition, the saw chain
automatically sprays a little oil a few
seconds after the saw is started.

Storage

Clean the equipment before putting it
away.
Put on blade cover.
Always empty the oil tank before
pauses in operation lasting several
weeks because the biological chain oil
can become resinous and block the oil
outlet channel.
an environmentally correct manner.
Store the device in a dry, frost-free,
and dust-protected place and out of
reach of children.
Store the battery only in a partially
charged state. The state of charge
should be 40 – 60 % over a longer

storage period. (two LED lights of the
state of charge display light up green).
During a longer storage period, check
the state of charge of the battery and
recharge if necessary roughly every
3 months.
In order to keep the battery well
charged, avoid exposing the appliance
to extreme heat or cold in storage.
Store the equipment between 10° C
and 25° C. During storage, avoid ex-
treme cold or heat so the battery does
not lose power.
