NOTICE
ÖWWG 3
Power supply control unit
The unit has been connected by means of a permanently in-
stalled cable (for example, NYM-J 3 x 1.5 mm²).
The control unit supply has been fused separately (maxi-
mum 16 A).
Route the mains cable through the cable gland at the left into
the control unit.
Connect the phase to terminal L and the neutral conductor to
terminal N.
Connect probe
Use a cable with 2 x 0.5 mm² to extend the probe cable. The maxi-
mum length of the probe cable is 50 m.
The probe cable is permanently installed and sufficiently pro-
tected from damage (for example, installed in a metal pipe).
The probe cable is not routed immediately next to or together
with cables carrying mains voltage.
Route the probe cable through the cable gland at the right into
the control unit.
Connect the probe cable to the corresponding terminals with the
designation "Sonde". Any polarity is permissible.
External unlocking
A pushbutton (normally open contact) can be connected to the two
terminals with the designation Unlock ("Entriegeln") in the control unit
which allows for external unlocking of ÖWWG 3 from a distance of
up to 100 m. The maximum voltage at these terminals is 12 V. The
pushbutton connections must be voltage-free.
Relay output
The output signal of the control unit is made available via a voltage-
free relay contact (changeover contact). The alarm signal can be
transmitted to a connected additional alarm unit (for example,
ZAG 01).
The switching contact may be destroyed by voltage peaks when
inductive consumers are switched off.
Use commercially available standard RC combinations such as
0.1 µF/100 Ohm for inductive consumers.
