Do not install the control unit and the probe in humid rooms.
Verify compliance with the permissible ambient conditions.
Verify that the audible alarm signal of the control unit can al-
ways be heard, even in the case of ambient noise.
If audibility cannot be ensured, you must install an additional alarm
unit at a suitable location in the building (for example, additional
alarm unit ZAG 01, horn KH 1 or combined alarm light and horn from
AFRISO).
Select the mounting position in such a way that the PTC ther-
mistor is submerged even in the case of small amounts of liquid
so that it triggers the alarm as early as possible.
Mount the PTC thermistor probe at the lowest point of the area
to be monitored (lying or suspended).
Fasten the probe by means of the clamp included with the de-
vice. The clamp also protects the probe from being stepped
upon.
If the probe is suspended without support, push the enclosed
brass weight over the cable all the way to the probe head.
Mount the control unit to an even, rigid and dry wall at eye level.
The control unit must be accessible and visible at all times.
The control unit must be mounted in such a way that it cannot
be reached by water or splash water.
Protect the control unit from direct atmospheric influences if it is
installed outdoors.
