The ÖWWG 3 oil/water alarm unit consists of a fail-safe, self-moni-
toring control unit with periodic self-test and a probe. The control unit
and the probe are connected by means of a two-wire signal cable
with a maximum length of 50 m.
Depending on the order, ÖWWG 3 features an optional EnOcean
wireless module. Products without an EnOcean® wireless module
can be retrofitted.
Probe
A PTC thermistor is contained in the probe head. During operation,
the PTC thermistor is heated and can distinguish between gaseous
and liquid media due to the different heat dissipation.
The probe is a wearing part and must be replaced after no more than
ten years.
