––– PHASE 5 –––
5.1 - ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
CAUTION! – Scrupulously respect the connections shown in this
manual; an incorrect connection can cause failures or hazardous
situations.
5.1.1 - Connect the control switch to the automation sys-
tem (fig. 17D and 18)
To connect a power cable to the terminal, hold down the lever (white or
red) on the auto-locking system, insert the wire into the hole and release
the lever. To disconnect the cable from the terminal, press and hold the
lever down, and pull the cable.
5.5.2 - Connect the automation system to the electric
grid (fig. 18)
CAUTION! – Connection operations described in this phase must
be carried out by a qualified electrician, whilst observing these in-
structions and the safety standards in force in the country of in-
stallation.
Connect the automation system to the mains using a power cable made
up of three conductors:
– brown wire, for connection to "Phase";
– blue wire, for connection to "Neutral";
– yellow-green wire, for connection to "Earth".
5.5.3 - Installing protective devices on the electrical power
supply line
In accordance with electrical installation rules, the electric grid supplying
the motor must include a short-circuit protection device and a device to
disconnect from the electric grid.
INSTALLATION OF CONTROL SWITCH TO WALL
15. To install the control switch (code 55530001-NH), follow the instruc-
tions step by step, as shown in fig. 18-a-b-c.
Caution! - The control switch must be placed as follows:
– in a location which is not accessible to outsiders;
– in sight of the shutter but far away from moving parts;
– on the same side of the shutter as the electric cable from the motor
and the power supply cable from the mains;

Caution! – The disconnection device must enable complete dis-
connection from the power supply, under the conditions deter-
mined by overvoltage category III.
The disconnection device must be placed near the automation system
and, if it is not visible, a system must be included to prevent any acciden-
tal, unauthorised reconnection to the power supply to avoid any hazard-
ous situations.
Note – The two devices are not included in the package.
