6 / CARING FOR AND CLEANING YOUR APPLIANCE
PYROLYTIC OVEN
- By using high temperatures, this type of oven destroys dirtiness caused by spattering or over-
flow.
- The smoke released is destroyed as it moves through a catalyser.
You should not wait until the oven is overly coated in grease to initiate a cleaning cycle.
In what situations should you perform pyrolysis?
- If your oven emits smoke during preheating or releases large volumes of smoke during cook-
ing.
- If your oven releases an odour when cooled after various cooking applications (lamb, fish,
grills, etc...).
Pyrolysis is not necessary after each cooking cycle, but simply when the level of dirtiness war-
rants it.

Splatter-free cooking: pyrolysis is
not warranted.
Pyrolysis may be warranted after
three cooking cycles.
Pyrolysis can be performed
after one cooking application
of this kind, as there is a lot
of splattering.
