External frontal panel cleaning
Check: monthly or every 50 cycles.
Use a soft cloth soaked in alcohol, taking care don't let alcohol penetrate into the parts
inside the autoclave.
Any ammonia-based glass cleaner is tolerated as an alternative to alcohol, but it is
absolutely forbidden to use detergents based on trichloroethylene, benzene, turpentine or
solvents in a broad sense.
Porthole gasket cleaning
Check: daily or every 5 cycles.
Clean the gasket with a soft cloth moistened with either water or white vinegar to remove
calcium scale.
This procedure must be performed to remove impurities that can cause the sterilisation
chamber to lose pressure and can even produce cuts in the gasket.
Avoid external elements (hair, dust or the like) from remaining deposited on the contact
surface of the porthole gasket.
Chamber fi lter cleaning
Check: monthly or every 50 cycles
- Extract the tray holders w.ith the trays from the chamber.
- Rotate the fi lter upward inside the chamber, and draw it towards you to extract it.
- Immerse in a container fi lled with water and vinegar, wait a few minutes and then use a
small brush to clean the fi lter area.
- Rinse the fi lter unit with water.
- Reassemble by applying the same procedure in reverse order.
- Reposition the fi lter at the bottom of the chamber.
In case of failure to restore initial conditions, call Technical Support for a replacement.
Porthole door regulation
Check: when necessary. Generally not before six months after the porthole gasket has
been changed.
The autoclave closure system requires occasional adjustments due to the normal
misalignment of mechanical parts and of the porthole gasket.
Imperfect sealing on the part of the gasket could prevent correct performance of sterilisation
cycles with impairment of the expected outcome.
Activating always when the machine is turned off and cold.
Instructions:
- Keep button 17 pressed. (Fig. 4)
- Rotate porthole 19 (Fig. 4) in an anticlockwise direction for a quarter of a circle.
- Release the button and keep rotating porthole 19 (Fig. 4) until it locks.
- Ensure that the door closes smoothly. If the handle is too hard to close, slightly rotate it
in the opposite direction, keeping the button pressed.
- Run a test cycle to check effi cacy of the implemented adjustments.
This procedure must usually be performed at the fi rst slight leak or sealing problem of the
gasket. Before tightening the porthole closure system, clean the hatch gasket as described
above, and repeat the sterilisation cycle.
Bacteriological or Bio X fi lter replacement
Check: quarterly or every 500 cycles.
