Operating requirements:
19
The maximum amount of energy input into the decomposition vessel must not
19
exceed 40000 J. (Select the weight of the sample accordingly). The permissible
19
operating pressure of 230 bar (23 MPa) must not be exceeded. The maxi-
94
mum permissible operating temperature must not exceed 50 °C.
95
Do not fill the decomposition vessel too full of the sample. Only fill the decompo-
sition vessel with oxygen up to a maximum pressure of 40 bar (4 MPa). Monitor
the adjusted pressure on the pressure reducer.
Perform a check before every combustion to ensure there are no leaks (see
sections "Leakage test").
Intended purpose:
The C 6010 and C 6012 decomposition vessels must only be used
for determining the gross calorific value of solid and liquid com-
bustible materials in accordance with DIN 51900, BS 1016 T5, ISO
1928, ASTM 5468, ASTM 5865, and ASTM 4809.
Operation of decomposition vessels is only permitted in combina-
tion with the IKA
calorimeter C 6000 g/iso.
