handling toxic or other hazardous

1. Setting up the appliance
– Set up the test tube shaker on a smooth
and solid table top. The weight of the
appliance and the 4 parabolically shaped
rubber feet make for stability.
– The feet can adhere securely to the table
top only if both the feet and the surface
to which they are to be attached are clean.
If necessary, clean the feet with a damp
cloth and ethanol.
2. Electrical connection (Figure 1, 2)
– Before connecting the appliance into the
mains, make sure that the mains voltage
matches that required on the type plate
– (for other plug standards, see the
General Information on page 14).
– the ON/OFF switch (1) is switched
off (in the "0" position).
– the speed setting knob (2) is turned
to the left as far as it will go.

– Plug the shaker into the mains using the
mains lead. The plug for the mains lead is
at the rear of the appliance.

cannot guarantee that the applian-
ce is explosion-safe.
Repairs must be carried out only
by technicians authorized.
To prevent the shaker sliding off
the table top as a result of the vi-
brations generated during opera-
tion, make sure the feet are secu-
rely attached to the table top.

The tray (9) is simply clipped onto and
pulled off the appliance by hand. When
clipping on the tray, make sure the slot in
the coupling area of the tray is in line
with the lug on the eccentric of the
appliance.
