●
take a larger container).
Make sure that the steam / hot water control is turned off (Off-position, fully
●
turned clockwise).
Plug the power plug into a suitable wall power outlet.
●
;
Press the ON/OFF button
. As soon as the machine is turned on using this button
●
all the buttonframes light up blue for one second while the machine is pumping
water. Afterwards only the ON/OFF button (A) and steam mode button (D) stay lit,
while the buttonframes of "automatic mode" (B) and "manual mode" (C) keep
blinking as long as the machine is preheating. When the correct temperature for
brewing coffee is reached these buttons will also constantly light up blue. The
machine is now ready for use.
Alternately press the "automatic mode" (B) and "manual mode" (C) buttons and
●
let some water flow through.
Press the steam mode button (D) and wait until it stops blinking. Place a stainless
●
steel container underneath the steam / hot water outlet and turn it outwards. Turn
the steam / hot water control (I) counterclockwise to the maximum position and
let some steam pour out through the steam / hot water outlet. Afterwards turn
off the steam / hot water control (I) and press the steam mode button (D) again

●
out of the water tank.
Before first use let the entire water of the filled water tank cycle through entirely
●
(empty the container on the drip grid multiple times!). Before every other use
letting water flow through for 20 seconds is enough to heat up the parts.
Turn the handle of the portafilter clockwise to the left.
●
Pull portafilter and filter insert downwards and out.
●
CAUTION: Both parts are hot, do not scald yourself.
The machine is ready for use when all 4 buttons steadily light up blue.

Choose the right filter insert: Use the smaller filter for 1 cup and the larger filter
●
for 2 cups. If you want to make a big cup of coffee, please use – depending on
the desired intensity – the filter insert for 2 cups and let more water run through.
When using a single smaller cup, screw the single outlet on the portafilter before-
●
hand, to avoid coffee dripping besides the cup.
Suited for 2 cups or
1 large cup: double outlet
Both outlets can be screwed on or off the portafilter depending on requirements.
Clean the filter insert with a dry cloth.
●
Put the filter insert into the portafilter and press it in.
●
Fill the filter insert with ground coffee. Count 1–2 measuring spoons per cup.
●
Gently tap the portafilter against the worktop so that the ground coffee in the
●
filter insert is spread out evenly. Use the tamper to compress the ground coffee.
After tamping, remove coffee leftovers from the portafilter edge so that it can be
●
correctly attached to the brewing head.
CAUTION: If the rim of the portafilter is not clean, it will not be connected airtight
●
and water can leak out besides the portafilter.
Suited for 1 cup or a smaller
cup respectively: single outlet
