Emergency procedure
Conduct a rst-aid procedure adequate to the injury
and summon quali ed medical attendance as quickly
as possible. Protect the injured person from further
harm and calm them down.
If you seek help, state the following pieces of infor-
mation
1. Accident site,
2. Accident type,
3. Number of injured persons,
4. Injury type(s)
General Safety Rules
WARNING! Electric shock! There is a risk of
an injury caused by electric shock!
WARNING
Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure
to follow the warnings and instructions may result in
electric shock, re and/or serious injury. Save all war-
nings and instructions for future reference.
Keep your work area clean and tidy. Untidy work-
places and workbenches increase the risk of accidents
and injuries.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (inclu-
ding children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
The device and packaging are not toys.
Comply with the local injury prevention regulations and
safety regulations in the work area.
Please note that permissible uses for the tool could be
limited by national regulations.
Do not use accessories which are not speci cally desi-
gned and recommended by the tool manufacturer.
The device may not be placed in a narrow space or
directly against a wall during functional operation. Only
in this way can it be ensured that su cient air gets into
the opening slit.
CAUTION! Improper handling may lead to
the welding device overheating or to material
damage.
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common
sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power
tool while you are tired or under the in uence of drugs,
alcohol or medication.
Check the machine for any damage
The appliance must not be used if damaged or safety
equipment is defective. Replace any worn-out and
damaged parts.
The device must not be operated if it is damaged in any
way.
Repairs and works speci ed in these Instructions may
only be performed by quali ed authorised sta .
Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or bin-
ding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other
condition that may a ect the power tool's operation. If
damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
Electrical safety
Warning: This power tool generates an electromagnetic
eld during operation. Under certain circumstances, this
eld may a ect active or passive medical implants. To
reduce the risk of serious or fatal injury, we recommend
that individuals with medical implants consult your
physician and the manufacturer of the medical implant
before operating the machine.
Persons with life support devices such as pacemakers
should consult their doctor before approaching this
apparatus, to ensure that magnetic elds and high elec-
trical currents will not interfere with such devices.
Operation is only allowed with a safety
switch against stray current (RCD max. stray
current of 30mA).
Insert the plug of the electrical cable in a socket of
suitable shape, voltage and frequency complying with
current regulations.
Incorrect electrical installation, a supply voltage which
is too high or incorrect handling may lead to an electric
shock. Any electric shock may be fatal.
Use extension cables with a maximum length of 5
meters and with a cable cross-section of not less than
1.5 mm2. Use of extension cables of di erent length and
cross-section and also of adapters and multiple sockets
should be avoided.
