These operating instructions are intended for skilled elctricians and trained
electronics personnel.
The BENNING IT 100 is intended for making measurements in dry environment.
It must not be used for making measurements in electric circuits with nominal
voltage greater than 1000 V DC/ AC or 600 V DC/ AC (for further details, see
Section 6 "Environmental conditions"). The low resistance measuring function
(switch setting 200mA) must not be used in distribution systems with voltages
greater than 600 V.
The following symbols are used in these operating instructions and on the
B ENNING IT 100:
Warning of electrical danger!
Indicates instructions which must be followed to avoid danger
to persons.
Important, comply with the documentation!
This symbol indicates that the stipulations in the operating ins-
tructions must be obeyed in order to avoid danger.
This symbol on the BENNING IT 100 means that the BENNING IT 100
is totally insulated (protection class II).
This warning symbol indicates that the BENNING IT 100 in the
low resistance measuring function (switch setting 200 mA)
must not be used in distribution systems with voltages greater
than 600 V.
This symbol on the BENNING IT 100 indicates the built-in fuses
(DC) direct current or (AC) alternating current
