Operation of the Apgar Timerseconds

The Apgar time is shown in minutes and seconds.
1.
Starting the Apgar Timer
Push the Start/stop button.

Switching off the device
The Apgar Timer can be turned off by pushing the Start/stop but-
ton. The Timer will automatically shut off after 1 hour.

Storing the Birth Time
Push the birth time retrieval button and the Apgar Timer will auto-
matically indicate the exact time of birth for a duration of three sec-
onds. The birth time is shown in hours and minutes.
4.
Retrieval of the Birth Time
The birth time is called up in hours and minutes by pushing the
birth time retrieval button. The birth time will be changed as soon as
the next Apgar score is taken.
5. Battery Check
A set of batteries should last for 1'000 Apgar score measurements.
When the batteries become weak, 3 additional dots will appear on
the display.
6. Change of Batteries
The Apgar Timer has been designed so that the internal clock con-
tinues to run for approx. 2 minutes when the batteries are changed.
This means that when you change the batteries no adjustment of
time will be necessary.
To change the batteries, proceed as follows:
1. Remove old batteries.
2. Insert new batteries (two 1,5 volt alkaline batteries) according to
schematics.
