6.13 Stabilising bar
Folding stabilising bar
This bar is used to stabilise the backrest. To be able to fold the
wheelchair, the release lever must be pushed inwards (Fig. 6.13.1) or
released and the stabilising must be flipped downwards.
When unfolding the wheelchair, please make sure that the stabilising
bar is locked into position.
6.14 Transit wheels
Transit wheels
Transit wheels should be used whenever your wheelchair would be
too wide if the rear wheels were fitted (Fig. 6.14.1).
After the rear wheels have been removed with the aid of the quick-
release axles, the transit wheels can immediately be used to continue
riding, (Fig. 6.14.2).
The transit wheels are mounted so that they are approximately 30 mm
above the ground when not in use. They are therefore, out of the way
when riding, transporting, or when tipping to pass over obstacles.
DANGER!
• Without rear wheels, your wheelchair has no wheel locks.
• There is a risk of the chair tipping backwards.
