8. Theft and removal protection (accessories)

In order to protect the smoke detector from removal by unauthori-
sed third parties, removal protection in form of a seal can be applied
to the detector and base.
The seal is fastened in the housing wall aperture of the detector.
Seals have to be ordered separately (see item 17 Ordering data).
1. Break off the break-out points in the
base and turn the smoke detector into
the base.
2. Now insert the seal into the resulting
aperture.
