Returning of the packaging back to circulation saves
resources and costs for packaging disposal.
Parts of the packaging (e.g. foil, styropor) may be dangerous
for children. Risk of suffocation!
Keep these parts of the packaging out of reach of children
and dispose as soon as possible.
Operator requirements
The operator must carefully read the Operating Instructions
before using the appliance.
Qualification
No special qualification is necessary to use the appliance
apart from detailed instructions by an expert.
Minimum age
The appliance may only be operated by persons over 18
years of age who have been instructed in handling and
operating the appliance. Young people between 16 and 18
years of age may only work with the appliance when
supervised by an adult.
An exception includes youngsters operating the appliance
within their professional education to achieve necessary skills
under trainer's supervision.
Training
Using the appliance only requires appropriate instructions by
an expert or reading the Operating Instructions. No special
training necessary.
Residual risks and protective measures
Mechanical residual risks:
• Cutting, amputation
Risk of injury from rotating parts
Beware of small workpieces – use essentially the sliding
bar included in the supply.
Never touch the circular-saw blade when still rotating.
A contact with a rotating circular-saw blade may result in
serious injuries.
• Getting caught, wound
Loose clothing, jewels, hair may get caught by the
moving parts.
Close-fitting clothing to be worn at all times. Do not wear
jewels. Protect your hair with a hairnet.
Electrical residual risks:
• Direct electric contact
A defective cable or plug may lead to electric shock.
Have any defective cable or plug always replaced by a
professional. Use the machine only on a connection with a
safety switch against stray current (RCD).
Otherwise, it could lead to serious injuries.
• Indirect electric contact
Injuries by conductive parts of exposed electrical or
defective components.
Unplug the machine whenever servicing it. To be used with
an FI switch only.
Exposure to noise:
• Hearing damage
Long work with the machine may damage hearing.
Ear protectors to be used at all times.
Exposure to materials and other substances:
• Contact, inhalation
Lungs may be damaged by large dust. Emissions of
harmful wooden dust when the machine is used
without the exhauster.
A respirator must always be used when working with the
machine. Fit in and start the exhauster.
Neglecting the ergonomic principles:
• Negligent use of personal protective equipment
Operating the machine without appropriate protective
equipment may lead to serious external and internal
injuries.
Wear specified protective clothing and work cautiously at all
times.
• Inadequate local lighting
Inadequate lighting represents a high safety risk.
Provide adequate lighting for any work with the machine.
Other risks:
• Thrown-away items and spraying liquids
The circular-saw blade or mechanical particles may
injure your eyes when cutting.
Wear protective glasses when working with the machine.
Transport and storage
The machine must be cleaned thoroughly before any
long storing.
Protect the saw with a plastic sheet, cardboard, etc.
against weather conditions.
The machine should always be transported by a
transport mean.
The upper circular-saw blade of the machine must be
covered in a safe way by e.g. protective cover of the
circular-saw blade before any long storing and
transporting.
Assembly (pic. 1+2+3)
Caution! Unplug the machine before any servicing and
tool change.
Circular-saw blade installation:
1. Unscrew the sawdust box cover (pic. 1/12).
2. Loose the nut (pic. 2/1) using a special nut wrench.
3. Remove the outer flange (pic. 2/2) and take out the old
circular-saw blade (pic. 2/3).
4. Now fit in a new circular-saw blade. Caution! Make sure
the rotation direction is appropriate (see the arrow on the
circular-saw blade).
5. Refit the outer flange (pic. 2/2) and tighten the nut (pic.
2/1). The clearance of the circular-saw blade must be less
than 0.3 mm.
6. Re-screw the sawdust box cover (pic. 1/12).
Circular-saw blade cover installation:
1. Fit the circular-saw blade cover (pic. 3/11) on the splitting
wedge (pic. 3/17) and align it.
2. Put the hex screw (pic. 3/20) through the opening in the
circular-saw blade cover (pic. 3/11) and secure it with a
nut (pic. 3/21) in the splitting wedge (pic. 3/17) 3/21).
3. Disassembly takes place in a reversed order.
Caution: It must be possible to move the circular-saw
blade cover freely. Therefore, do not tighten the nut too
much.
Table insert change
1.
Caution: Unplug the machine!
2.
Unscrew six screws (pic. 3/19).
3.
Remove the circular-saw blade cover (pic. 3/11) (see
Circular-saw blade cover installation)
4.
Remove any worn-out table insert (pic. 3/18) in the
upward direction.
5.
Fitting a new table insert takes place in a reversed order.
Before putting the machine into operation
Take the machine out of the transport package and check it
whether there are the following parts. Please contact your
dealer if any parts are missing or are damaged.
