3. Outer copings
- Pattern resin
4. Investment BS Liquid 1 is also available for telescopic and conical crowns.
Mixing ratio: 100 g Powder - 22 ml Liquid
Stirring
Use a spatula to stir the investment material by hand until the powder has been wetted thoroughly.
Mixing in vacuum
60 seconds
Place in vacuum for 15 seconds but without switching the paddles on. Mix for 60 seconds. Check the
vacuum/paddles frequently for correct functioning. Inadequate vacuum results in inaccurate fi t and
bubbles on the casting.
Working time
Approx. 7 min. at approx. 22°C (Room temperature).
The working time depends on the room temperature. Warmth curtails the working time.
Use only steel casting rings
with cellulose ring liners
Investing
Fill the ring with investment: only use a vibrator if it is required to improve the fl ow. Avoid high-vibra-
tion! This will lead to the formation of bubbles and breakdown of the mixture.
Placing the rings in a preheated furnace
20 minutes after start of mix. Roughen the top of the mould before placing it in the furnace!

The holding time should be extended if several rings are to be heated at the same time.
* It is not advisable to use X9 casting rings.
** The fi nal temperature can be increased to 950°C if there are casting problems with thin copings. Do not
place the mould in the furnace at 950°C, but rather at 850°C, then gradually heat up to the required fi nal
temperature at a rate of 10

Suitable ring systems
Casting ring – X1 and X3 steel:
We recommend using one dry cellulose ring liner with Vaseline.
Casting ring – X6 and X9 steel:
We recommend using two dry cellulose ring liners with Vaseline.
