Fine Tuning of the Model Helicopter

If the nod or roll trim must be adjusted a lot for the
helicopter to hover stably, you can also mechanically
adjust the swash plate linkage. For this, it is sensible to
remove the canopy.
Pull off the two rubber retaining rings (1) from the retai-
ning pins (2) on the left and right for this. When putting
down the rings, ensure that they are not lost. Lift the
canopy (3) off of the retaining pins and pull the canopy
off forward.
The left linkage (4) of the swash plate (viewed in flight
direction from the rear) is relevant for the rolling function
and the right linkage (5) for the nod function. Just push
the respective control function for inspection.
If the swash plate is slightly askew so that the helicopter
keeps flying in one direction, disconnect the ball so-
ckets (6) of the linkage rods from the swash plate arms
(7) and twist them to set the required rod length.
Unhooking and hooking in the ball sockets is easiest
when using small tweezers or thin long nose pliers.
Work with the required care to avoid damage to the
swash plate linkage or breaking off parts.
Set the linkage rods so that the model helicopter hovers
stably without any large adjustments of the nod and roll
trim out of the centre position being required.
Install the canopy in the reverse order of disassembly.
Attention!
Always disconnect the flight battery from the model before carrying out any maintenance or adjustment
works at the mechanics.
