- Damage caused to one or more of the slats comprising the slat cover following an attempt to open the cover while it was
closed and locked,
- Damage caused to one or more of the slats comprising the slat cover following the attempted repair or modification of the
cover carried out by a non-qualified person not a representative of Groupe Procopi.
- Damage caused to one or more of the slats comprising the slat cover by hail stones. This type of risk is usually covered by the
house insurance taken out by the user of the cover,
- Deformation or blistering of the slat cover caused by an object (Flotation device, toy, thermometer, floating doser, etc.) floating
under the cover and thus preventing the slats from remaining in contact with the water at this point .
- Deformation of the slat cover or slat articulations caused by an object (flotation device, toy, thermometer, floating doser, etc.)
caught in the spirals of the cover while it was being rolled up.
2. Guarantee covering stains and discolouration
Delta covers are also covered by a 5-year guarantee, entering into effect on the date on which the guarantee slip, appended hereto is
received, having first been duly completed by the installer client, or, by default, after a period of 30 days, said time period commencing on
the cover delivery date.
The aforementioned guarantee covers risks of sudden or abnormal discolouration and/or the appearance of permanent stains on the slat
cover surface. However, this guarantee may not be invoked if the surface of the slat cover stained or discoloured accounts for 10% or less
than the total surface area of the slat cover.
IMPORTANT: As the slats are formed by the extrusion of pigmented PVC, the gradual discolouration of the slats, caused by oxidation of the
pigments by UV rays and/or disinfectants used to treat the pool water, is normal and natural.
In the event of the partial replacement of the slats comprising the Delta slat cover, and bearing in mind the aforementioned gradual
discolouration process, colour variations between the old and new slats are normal and natural.
The following are outside the scope of the guarantee covering staining or discolouration:
- Stains caused by the use of highly pigmented tanning sun creams (brown stains), stains caused by fumaroles resulting from the com
bustion of hydrocarbons (exhaust gases from motorised vehicles, planes flying overhead, fuel fired boilers, etc.), stains caused by
wood smoke or by the tannin released by the decomposition of dead leaves.
- The discolouration (and deformation) of slats attributable to the migration of PVC components facilitated by installation of a watertight
winter protective covering (covers, polyethylene or PVC membrane) allowed to enter into contact with the slat cover (due to the weight
of water accumulated on the protective covering).
- Stains attributable to a flagrant lack of regular maintenance/cleaning. The slats must be cleaned thoroughly at least twice a year (See
our operating recommendations).
- Stains caused by the formation of metallic sulphides, encrusted in the PVC and resulting from the presence of micro-organisms
(bacteria, fungii, etc.) and metallic ions present in the pool water or in the PVC material it-self.
This risk can be precluded by continuously treating the pool water to maintain irreproachable water quality and avoiding the stagnation
of decomposing organic matter on the cover.
B - GUARANTEE EXTENDED TO MECHANICAL PARTS
1. Guarantee covering the motor
The motor drive system provided with Delta covers is covered by a 5 year guarantee, entering into effect on the date on which the
guarantee slip, appended hereto is received, having first been duly completed by the installer client, or, by default, after a period of 30 days,
said time period commencing on the cover delivery date.
This guarantee covers the motor's leaktightness and structural integrity over time, subject to the conditions that the aforementioned
motor was installed in accordance with the technical recommendations set out in the Delta cover "Installation Instructions" and is used in
accordance with the prescriptions provided in the "Operating Instructions".
The following are outside the scope of the guarantee covering the motor drive system:
- Damage caused by water penetrating into the motor pursuant to the failure to install the latter in accordance with the prescriptions set
out in the "Installation Instructions", to total or partial disassembly of the aforementioned motor or to the prolonged submersion of said.
- Damage pursuant to failure to respect the electrical standards in effect and notably the French standard NF C 15-100 dated
December 2002 or equivalent.
- Damage to the motor occasioned by lightening or electrical surges, said risk being covered by the house insurance generally taken
out by the user of the cover.
