AUTOMATIC COVER OPERATING RECOMMENDATIONS

How-ever, despite the excellent quality of every component of this cover, we cannot guarantee the user's total
satisfaction unless the user scrupulously observes and applies the recommendations and instructions provided in this
booklet.
1. WATER QUALITY
Water quality must be tested, especially if the pool is filled with water from a well, lake or river.
It is important to determine the concentration of metallic ions. If the concentration of metallic ions is too high, take
steps to lower it. Avoid filling your pool with water containing a high concentration of iron, copper, magnesium, etc.
These metals can combine with hydrogen sulphide released by the decomposition of organic matter and permanently
stain the cover.
However, and in accordance with the French standard NF P 90-308, the materials used to manufacture the slats that
make up the Delta cover apron are designed not to have a colorimetric reaction on contact with hydrogen sulphide.
T.H. (Total Hardness), a measure of water hardness that is, the concentration of Calcium and Magnesium ions, should
be less than 200 ppm
A higher T.H. can lead to the build up of calcium deposits on the slats that, as well as being visually unappealing, can
hinder the movement of the slat cover.
Take care only to use water disinfection systems and products that are compatible with the materials used to make the
Delta automatic cover. Ensure that all disinfection systems and products are used in strict compliance with the manu-
facturer's instructions.
For information purposes, the average concentrations of the most popular disinfecting agents are provided below:
CHLORINE :
Concentration between 0.7 and 1.2 ppm.
PHMB
:
Concentration between 30 and 40 ppm.
BROMINE :
Concentration between 1 and 2 ppm.
2. USING THE COVER
2.1. Water level - Stardeck or Coverdeck covers
Installation of a level regulator and overflow is mandatory on pools fitted with a STARDECK or COVERDECK cover.
It is of utmost importance that you check the water level in the pool before the cover, bear in mind that a clearance of
at least 30 mm between the beam and the water surface is necessary to allow the slat cover to move freely.
