OPENING AND CLOSING THE SLAT COVER
PRECAUTIONS
It is very important to check that there is no-one in the pool before closing the cover. Watch the pool carefully
while operating the cover.
For this purpose, and with obvious safety considerations in mind, the key switch should be installed in a location that
allows a view of the entire pool while opening or closing the cover.
The key switch must be held in contact continuously while operating the cover.
Never allow children to operate the cover or leave the key switch accessible to children.
Swimming under the cover is strictly and formally prohibited.
IMPORTANT: The return fittings can generate a significant current at the surface of the water. The strength of this
current depends on the flow rate of the filtration pump. If this surface current could hinder movement of the cover, we
recommend that you stop filtration while operating the cover.
CLOSING THE COVER
- It is of utmost importance that you check that there is no-one in the pool.
- Ensure that there is nothing floating in the pool (inflatable toy, ball, etc.) that could hinder the movement of the
cover.
- Turn and hold the key in its "CLOSED" position. Keep the key held to "CLOSED" until the cover stops at its end-
of travel.
- Always monitor the pool closely while operating the cover. Never stop the cover partially opened or closed, this
could result in a risk of entrapment in the cover pit if people enter the swimming pool. The person operating the
cover must ensure that there is no-body in the pool.
- Release the key when the cover stops. Remove the key and store it out of reach of children.
- Attach the straps at the end of the cover to the fasteners on the edge of the pool.
OPENING THE COVER
- Release the straps from the safety fasteners at the end of the pool.
- Ensure that there is nothing on the slat cover (ball, toy, etc.) that could hinder correct movement of the slat cover.
- If the pool is fitted with an automatic cleaner, check that the cleaner's hose and power cable cannot get caught
up in the cover while it is being rolled up.
- Turn the key to "oPEN" and hold it in this position until the cover stops automatically at its end-of-travel.
Always monitor the pool closely while operating the cover. Never stop the cover partially opened or closed, this
could result in a risk of entrapment of swimmers in the cover pit.
- Release the key when the cover stops moving.
