5.4. Aquadeck, Evodeck, Thermodeck and Igloo II covers
Walking on or sitting on the AQUADECK or EVODECK cover axle is strictly prohibited.
Similarly, we would like to remind you that the housing of the THERMODECK and IGLOO covers serve a decorative
purpose in that they hide the mechanical components of the cover from view.
THERMODECK housing, whether PVC or wooden, can bear a maximum load of 20 kg/m².
Hence, use of the housing as a diving platform or bench is strictly prohibited.
6. SCOPE OF USE
Delta automatic covers are designed for installation on private pools.
Any other use (public or semi-public pools) must be authorised by PROCOPI.
Despite their excellent mechanical properties, Delta covers can be damaged. The following should therefore be
avoided:
- Direct contact between the slat surface and disinfectant products (chlorine, bromine) that could cause damage such
as; permanent staining, burning, blistering, etc.
- Mechanical impacts; objects falling onto the slat surface, intense hail storms, etc.
- Heavy loads on the slat cover surface, these can cause permanent deformation.
We recommend that you contact your insurance agent to ensure that your Delta cover is insured against damage by
hail stones.
The leaktightness of your Delta cover is an important factor in the protection provided by Delta covers. Leaktightness
can be compromised by a mechanical impact, hail stones, etc.
Consequently, the leaktightntess of the slats must be checked regularly by a responsible adult user and any defect
discovered must be repaired immediately.
This list of precautions is by no means exhaustive, we strongly recommend that, in case of doubt, you contact your
installer for advice before attempting any intervention.
7. GENERAL SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
Warning:
A pool can represent a serious danger to young children (under five). A child can drown very quickly. Children playing
close to a pool must be supervised closely at all times, even if they know how to swim.
A responsible adult must be present when the pool is open.
Learn first aid: Documents ( instruction leaflets, videos, etc) describing first aid techniques to be employed in the
case of drowning are available.
Memorise and display close to the pool: Emergency numbers (ambulance, fire brigade, poison centre, etc.)
