Transport and Installation

7.1

Transport

The weight of the pneumatic Parallel Crimp Machine AT-SC MK II is approx. 22 kg (49 lbs). To transport
the machine by hand in a safe way screw in the t-handle (in the scope of the delivery) into the screw
fitting (see chapter 6.1/Fig. 6.01/Pos. 2).
CAUTION!
 Use the T handle for the transport by hand!
ATTENTION!
 Tubes must not be damaged.
 Wear suitable safety shoes when transporting the machine.
INFORMATION:
 The pneumatic Parallel Crimp Machine AT-SC MK II has to be carried with the
T handle for the transport by hand.
7.2

Installation

Place the double foot pedal on the floor. No other place is allowed!
ATTENTION!
 Position the pneumatic Parallel Crimp Machine AT-SC MK II on a flat surface and
assure the stability of the machine. Ensure that the table or bench is stable enough
to support the machine in normal use.
 Assure an appropriate table height. The table height, is dependent on the position
of the operator, (work in sitting or standing position) according to prEN 894-4:2004,
Table A.1.
 Assure appropriate illumination of the working place. (EN 1837:1999 – chapter 4.2:
"The general value of illumination has to be 500 lx [...]").
 Place the tubes on the floor or out of the way so that they do not cause a trip
hazard.
 Do not lay the double foot pedal in aisles or walkways.
 Assure free access to the operating elements of the machine, especially the double
foot pedal and the release button.
 Wear suitable safety shoes when transporting the machine.
