6.3.2.
Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker (ELCB).
When using an earth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) also
known as a residual current device (RCD) or a residual
current circuit breaker (RCCB) in a system that incorpo-
rates a variable speed drive connected to 3 phase 400 V.
The trip level of the ELCB has to be 300 mA.
(30 mA used in house hold will malfunction due to earth
leakage).
6.3.3.
Service switch:
The unit must always be connected to the main sup-
ply through a separate service switch.
NB! Installation must always be in accordence with
local legistration.

Observe the following when using E.l.c.b:
• Installation of E.l.c.b only between supplying mains and controller.
• The E.l.c.b can be activated by:
- capacitive leakage currents between the cable screens during operation (especially with long,
screened motor cables)
- connecting several controllers to the mains at the same time
- RFI filters
6.4. Mounting of slave for additional I/O´s
Each slave comes with a bracket so that it can be
mounted on the wall if desired. Each slave has its
own power supply and must be connected to a near-
by power source. Included is also an Ethernet plug
that has to be mounted at the bottom of the electrical
box, an Ethernet cable for connection between the
slave and the plug at bottom of the electrical box, and
an Ethernet cable from the plug at the bottom of the
electrical box to the switch (K108) inside the electrical
box.
The Ethernet cable(s) must be connected on
the switch (K108) as shown in drawing number
110005259 page 8 of electrical diagrams.

6.5. Water connection
• Before the unit is connected to the water
supply pipe, the supply line should
be rinsed carefully in order to remove
coarse impurities and metal shavings.
• The connection for water must be made
at the top of the unit. (see layout draw-
ing).
• Minimum diameter of the supply pipe
must be at least ø38 external (ø35mm
internal).
• The unit must be fitted with a closing
valve for water on the inlet (see layout
drawing).
• The pressure loss in the supply line
must be held as low as possible by
- avoiding long supply pipes
- mounting low pressure resistance
ball valves and
- avoiding fittings with high pressure
loss.
• When installing the piping, take care to
avoid air traps.
• All pipe connections to the unit must
be clamp connections ensuring simple
maintenance and dismantling of the
station.
Max. allowed temperature of supply water: 70°C
Max. allowed pressure of supply water:
Water inlet
For an optimum functioning of the
injector system, we recommend install-
ing a filter on the inlet to avoid impuri-
ties.
6.6. Air connection
Before the unit is connected to the air
supply, the pipe system must be care-
fully rinsed in order to remove coarse
impurities.
• The unit requires an air supply boosting
- an inlet pressure of minimum 6 bar
- a minimum capacity of 200 l/min.
• The air supply pipe is connected directly with a
quick fitting for easy dismantling. In all units an in-
let valve with 1/4" thread is fitted (layout drawings).
